We urge everyone to donate, help or provide food to the most vulnerable people affected by the war in Ukraine

We know this is a critical time to manifest a collaborative spirit and inspire people to show kindness.

Remember

That solidarity requires responsibility. War destroys people’s lives and livelihoods, even far from the battlefield. You can save lives, no matter where in the world you are.

Your Experience

It is very unusual to get close to somebody that you don’t know and offer help, it is also very unusual for those in need to received help from an stranger. It’s guaranteed that the most incredible reward someone can get, it is a grateful smile, just try it! Give food to someone in need!

The war in Ukraine and the impact on poverty

The United Nations has explored though various macroeconomic scenarios and suggest that the eradication of extreme poverty looks highly unlikely by 2030 even in the most optimistic scenario. The number of people living in extreme poverty could in fact continue to go up in the most pessimistic scenario. The strengthening of labour standards and the expansion of the social protection system and universal health are needed now more than ever.
