Our Battle against hunger

Our battle against hunger has just started. We know that the causes of hunger are generated by many elements that make the fight to eradicate it even more difficult. The global economy segmentation, the lack of financial resources devoted to education, social injustice, the right to freedom, the right to public health, climate change and many others, makes us find ourselves with the almost unnoticed but daily paradox that has been growing over the years.

Every decade, the percentage of people affected by hunger increases at a regrettably unstoppable rate, in turn, the demand for food, the growth rate of the world population, wage inequality, the political and cultural divide, technological development and therefore the use of natural resources and the distribution of wealth, leads us to conclude that the solution is a mutual and universal work, that depends on all spheres of society.

Our work is very simple; we have to start with ourselves, with our health, taking care of our body and our mind in order to have the energy and clarity necessary to offer something to others. By feeding our knowledge, so that this enrichment makes us aware of what is happening not only on the other side of the world, but perhaps in our own socio-cultural environment. Properly managing our natural resources so that we can optimally make good use of our planet for many more years and in a more equitable way. By learning to be more tolerant and unprejudiced towards others, because we do not all have the same virtues or have had the same opportunities. By appreciating the value of what we possess, so we do not take everything for granted, and above all, by manifesting our gratitude, because anyone can find themselves in an impoverished condition and without a helping hand.

The recognition of what we have is what leads us to offer a piece of hope to someone who does not have it, our obligation as human beings is with each other and for all, because in the end, we depend of everybody to stimulate growth and progress and so that our species can evolve humanely in time.
